Thomas R. Mason Sr., died peacefully on June 10 at Parker-McCarrick Care Center in Somerset, NJ.
Mr. Mason was born in Raritan, NJ and resided most of his life in Somerset, NJ. Mr. Mason was an Army Air Force Veteran of WW II, and served as a flight engineer on Air Force cargo planes flying over the Himalaya mountains. Shortly thereafter his career started at New Jersey Bell until his retirement in 1981. Upon retirement he moved to Morehead City, NC and was an active member of St. Egberts Church in Morehead City, NC. He became a passionate golfer and a stained-glass craftsman. He had recently moved to Perkasie, PA and then Somerset, NJ to be closer to his family.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Jr., his wife Donna and daughter Ashley, Paul, and his partner Mary and son Matthew, two daughters Christine Mason, Marianne Mason & her husband James Ferrante, Jr. and a sister Marjorie Naylor.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, July 18 at 11:00 at St. Egberts Church, Morehead City, NC followed at 2:00 pm by an interment at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, NC with Military Honors presented.
