Theresa (Marconi) Stasko - known as "Nan" to most all - Passed with grace after a fight with cancer on August 3rd, 2016. Predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, "Andy" in 1977. Survived by her daughter Terry Londenberg and her husband John of Hillsborough, NJ, who she has lived with since 2001. Two sons, Andrew and Lorraine Stasko of Georgia and John and Diane Stasko of Arizona. Grandchildren Adam Stasko, Andrew Stasko, Lauren Edwards, Nicole Collins, Marissa Londenberg and Lia Londenberg. Proud Great Grand Mother of Ashton, Indi and Mackenzie. Living siblings are Fran Kish of PA, BettyAnn Papa of FL and Paul Marconi of PA. Proceeded in death by 6 other brothers and sisters, Rosalie, Louis, Anthony, Pasquale, Gloria and Baby Paul. All her grandchildren's spouses, nieces and nephews, she will always be remembered and never forgotten.
Born to Pasquale Marconi and Rose (Magliola) Marconi on April 24th in Drifton, PA, raised in Freeland,PA. Married Andy on July 17, 1948 and then relocated to NJ for Andy's job in 1952 where they lived for 35 years in Bridgewater.
Theresa was the chef cook at the Hoagie Hut in Bridgewater NJ for 30 years, retiring in 2003. Her faithful presence daily and the homemade recipes of that dwelling were created by her, known fondly to all who came in as "Tree".
She will be always remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Best cook in the world and missed so dearly by her family. She leaves us rich in memories.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on Monday, August 8th, at the Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, where she has been a parishioner since 1952. All are welcome. Immediately following is a procession to the chapel of Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge where there will be a prayer service laying her to rest next to her husband, Andy.
In lieu of flowers, Theresa is asking that donations be made to St. Judes Children Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ to end childhood Cancer.
