Marjorie A. Kozimbo (Burns), age 77, died Friday (August 26, 2016) at Robert Wood Johnson in Somerville. Born in Dunellen, Marjorie also resided in Flagtown before settling in Somerville.
Marjorie graduated from Somerville High School and obtained her secretarial certificate from Rutgers University. She spent the majority of her career at Ethicon in Bridgewater, working in various secretarial roles for over 19 years, and also taking a 14-year leave in the middle to stay at home and raise her 3 children.
She met her husband, Joseph Kozimbo, at Ethicon, and they married in 1964 and continued to reside in Somerville, establishing a wonderful life together. Marjorie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, loved going to the shore, and was an active member of her church. She was also very involved in the lives of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Marjorie was a kind angel who was always helping others, and she deeply touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be sadly missed and remembered fondly by her family, friends, and the local community.
Marjorie was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Kozimbo, in 2007. Surviving are two daughters, Lynn Kozimbo of Somerville, and Kathy Myers and husband, Dave of Somerville; a son, Kevin Kozimbo and wife, Janene of Hillsborough; grandchildren Allie, Kimberly, and Christopher Myers, and Danny, Katie, and Joseph Kozimbo; and a sister, Barbara Scott of Asbury, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30AM Tuesday, August 30, at Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum, Route 28, Bridgewater. Visitation will be from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Monday, August 29, at Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville.
