William J. Butler III passed away on December 31, 2018 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Wildgen Butler, his sister Maureen Mikolajczak and her husband Joe, many sisters and brothers-in-law, 14 nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Jane Butler.
Bill was born on March 13, 1943 in Orange, NJ, and was a graduate of St. Benedict's Prep and Seton Hall University. He served in the U.S. Air Forces from 1961-1965 and was stationed in Germany. He retired from American Standard in Piscataway after many years of service. One of Bill's greatest joys was volunteering for the Appalachian Mission workcamp sponsored by Immaculata High School for many years.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 7, at 9:30am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, It will be followed by mausoleum entombment at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Route 28, Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Bill's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis TN.
