Greg Gibson (66 years) passed into eternal life with Jesus his savior on September 12, 2021. Greg was born to Glenn and Jane Gibson (both deceased) on April 6, 1955. Greg is survived by his loving wife Valerie (née Niederle). Greg and Valerie were married November 10, 1984 and enjoyed thirty seven years as husband and wife. Greg is also survived by his older brother James Gibson, Jim’s wife Jill Gibson; niece Jennifer Jones and her husband John and their daughters, Rebecca, and Kaitlin; niece Julie Hall and her husband Jason and their sons, Jackson and Jude. Greg is also survived by his second cousin, Bob Gibson and his main home aide, Anita Perrucci, (or as Greg called her, “Nursie”).

Greg attended Midland School in Branchburg, NJ where he met his future wife, Val when they were 8 and 9 years old respectively. He graduated from Riverview High School in Sandwich, MA. Greg was a client at Alternatives, Inc., in Raritan, NJ, a facility which assists people with disabilities to live independently. Greg also attended Adult Day Center (ADC) in Bridgewater, NJ where he enjoyed the company of many friends and staff.

Greg was smart and funny, a friend to all. He loved science and nature, especially birds of all kinds, and he was very interested in the space programs and knew a great deal about current events and politics. Greg read many newspapers daily and took many trips to the Somerville Library. Greg loved his and Valerie's cat Perla who was always there to welcome them Home.

Greg suffered a stroke in 2017 and was not expected to recover but to everyone's surprise he beat the odds. As Greg would say, "I just soldiered on". Unfortunately, the stroke left him incapacitated on his left side, but it did not take away his abilities to see, speak, hear or understand his surroundings.

After recovering from the initial effects of the stroke Greg resided at Laurel Circle in Bridgewater, NJ, an assisted living facility caring for people with physical disabilities.

Up until the time of his death Greg was a communicant of Saint John's Episcopal Church in Somerville, NJ.
