Elizabeth Ann Beede, (Betty) 77, of Flemington, passed away peacefully on December 14th, at her home surrounded by her family. Betty fought a long battle with cancer and remained humble and kind the entire time.
Betty was born on September 1, 1944 to Elizabeth and Michael Ianniello. As a child Betty enjoyed playing on the swings and riding bicycles with her sisters. She graduated high school in 1962, where she met her husband Paul. She married and had 2 sons that she adored, Kevin and Darren. Family was everything to Betty.

She was a 40-year resident of Branchburg and 15-year resident of Flemington.

In 1973 she began her career at Raritan Valley Community College. Betty was loved by her colleagues, staff and administrators and everyone that came in contact with her. The college became her second home as she made many friends, had much laughter and enjoyed the comradery. She was dedicated to her work and always lent a hand or ear to anyone who needed. She was passionate about making a difference and helping students to succeed.  Her joy was at the athletic department and the police academy.

Betty took great pleasure in trips to the casino and win or lose, she always just had fun and enjoyed the time and the excitement. She also loved going on cruises with her husband Paul, something she was looking forward to doing more of after her short 3-week retirement, when the battle began. If you wanted to brighten her day, just bring ravioli or cannoli or 3 and she would smile ear to ear.

Betty was an incredibly dedicated mom to her children, raising them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Betty, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Betty is survived by her husband Paul, her two sons, Kevin and Darren and his fiancé Susan and her two grandchildren, Bella and Marcus and her two sisters, Elaine (Ianniello) Roseman and Kathy (Ianniello) Caruso.

Visiting hours will begin at 10am on Monday, December 20 at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville and conclude with "Shared Memories" from family, colleagues and friends at 11:30am at the funeral home. Final Prayers will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum, Route 28, Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Happy Sanctuary in Howell NJ at www.happysanctuary.com or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
