Ethel Reasoner, 78, passed away on Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson Somerset with family by her side.
Ethel was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania on August 10, 1938 and was a long standing resident of Somerville since 1960. Ethel was predeceased by her husband Karl Rose, Sr. in 1966.
Ethel earned her nursing license in Wilkes-Barre Pa in 1956 and worked as a nurse at Somerset Hospital in Somerville. Most recently, Ethel was employed as an Activities Coordinator at Raritan Health and Extended Care Center for 40 years, retiring in 2013.
Ethel is survived by her three children Cynthia Keys of Paupack,PA, Karl Rose, Jr. and his wife Mary Anne of Somerville and Pamela Rose of Highlands Ranch, CO, her five grandchildren Krystal Colton and her husband Keith, Gil Wraith, Nicole Rose, Caitlin and Timothy Sherry, her three great-grandchildren Gizelle Wraith and Hudson and Farryn Colton and her beloved parrot Macabee.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 am Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave. Somerville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Somerville First Aid and Rescue Squad, 21 Park Ave. Somerville NJ. (justgive.org/somervillerescue).
