Steven R. Ruggini died March 4 at RWJ at Somerset in Somerville. He was born in Somerville and was a 1968 graduate of Immaculata High School.
Steven retired in 2007 as a General Foreman from Somerset County Bridge Department after 38 years of service. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving from 1969 until 1970. While living in Somerville, Steven coached youth softball and umpired throughout Somerset County men's softball leagues. He loved all college sports.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Charlene, his children Joseph (Jamie), Jessica (Phil), Alicia and Daniel (Dana), his grandchildren Rylie, Kaitlyn, Savanna and Aubree and his sisters Adele and Cheryl.
Visiting hours will begin at 4pm on Wednesday, March 8, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville and conclude with a Prayer Service and Military Honors at 7pm.
