Barbara A. Cooper died June 27 at home. Mrs. Cooper was born in South Bound Brook and was a 1956 graduate of Bound Brook High School. She resided in Bridgewater for 30 years before moving to Hillsborough in 2002. She worked as a legal secretary alongside her husband William T. Cooper at his law office in Somerville.
A Charter Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband William T., her sons William III, his wife Doreen, David, his wife Melanie and her daughter Karen Cooper, her husband Ed Baker, her grandchildren Erin, Maura, Katie, Thomas, Matthew and John. Also surviving are her siblings Robert Konz and Betty Stys.
Visiting hours from 3-5pm & 7-9pm on Friday, June 30, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Saturday, July 1, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Special Children's Committee of the Somerville Elks
