Joseph "Joe" Fazekas Jr, 83, of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Monday July 10 at his residence at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater, surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph is survived by his 2 sons, Stephen Fazekas and his wife Mary Beth, Anthony Fazekas and his wife Marketa and his daughter Jenifer Krunkosky and her husband Tom, seven grandchildren, Madelyn, TJ, Rachel, Natalie, Matthew, Anna, and Daniella; his sister Mary Banks and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his loving wife Joan of formerly of Raritan, and his parents, Anna and Joseph Sr., and his sisters Dorothy and Fran.
Joe built a dream home for his family from the ground up while maintaining his full time job as a carpenter. He prided himself with his precision craftsmanship and vast array of spare parts to fix almost anything. He was a man of few words who absolutely loved watching his family grow and listening to their stories.
Family and friends will be welcomed for Visitation at Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville on Friday, July 14, from 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am on Saturday, July 15, at Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
