
Thomas J. Moore, 88, of Bridgewater, died peacefully on February 1, 2022, at his home.
Born in Newark to the late Thomas A. and Kathryn Moore (nee Westlake), he settled in Bridgewater 54 years ago with his beloved wife Mildred.
Thomas spent his career in sales, working for the Exclusive Shop on the Green in Morristown before working for ExecuJet Limousine in South Plainfield. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and traveling to see family and friends. Thomas was known to be a friend to all, easily sparking up conversations and making friends at the bank and library. While at the Patriots Stadium Gym for Cardiac Rehabilitation he developed friendships and brought comfort to everyone there with trivia. He enjoyed the time spent there, way beyond his prescribed allocation, keeping his and other’s hearts and minds healthy. Everyone adored Thomas for his kind heart, easygoing personality, and the quality time he dedicated to others.
Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mildred Moore (nee Sullivan) in 1991.
Surviving are his loving children, Patrick Moore and wife Sandee of Lawrenceville, Kathy Robbins and husband Tim of Bridgewater, Michael Moore and wife Dawn of Leetonia, OH, and Maureen Garrity and husband Len of Titusville, his twelve cherished grandchildren, Patrick and wife Anna, Meghan, Brian, Sam, Zack and wife Emily, Shannon, Katie, Erin, Maggie, Clare, Dan, and Shelia, his dear siblings, Bernice Paley and Jack Moore, as well as many extended family and community friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00PM at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Rt. 22, Bridgewater. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 8:15AM.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
