
Joseph J. Hall, 91, of Bridgewater, died peacefully on February 9, 2022, at his home with his family. Born and raised in New York he served his country in the United States Navy. Joe went on to attend Wagner University and New York University obtaining his master’s degree in Engineering. He worked for Johnson and Johnson as a Mechanical Engineer and was a lead developer on countless projects that obtained patents and benefited society at large developing with them up until his retirement.
Joseph and his beloved wife Elsie had a love you only read about, they were married for 62 amazing years. They walked together every morning and would enjoy going bowling and church on Sundays. They built a beautiful life together which most can only dream of. Elsie supported Joe in his engineering projects and demanding career, she made sure to greet him at the door every day when he came home just to provide that familiar comfort at the end of the day. Joe was a kind, honest, sincere man who was meticulous in his ways. He took great care of his family, home and animals.
In May of 1966 he joined the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Somerville, where he was a devoted member. He lent his talented voice to the choir at the church for many years. Joseph also loved to read, he would read articles and magazines and kept up with the times progressing from print to a kindle. Joe was kind to everyone he met, most of all, he loved his family and the quality time they spent together was what filled his heart the most. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Elsie F. Hall on March 23, 2011.
Surviving are his devoted daughters Sherry Hendershot of Pittstown, Denise Kozloski of Bridgewater and Kimberly Hall of Bridgewater, NJ, 6 cherished grandchildren Karla Riffert, Peter Hendershot and Brad Hendershot, Heather Kessler, Amber J. Roselle and Marissa Kessler along with 8 treasured great grandchildren Peter Hendershot III, Anthony Roselle Jr., Joseph Dominic Roselle, Taylor Ann Bennett, Brendon Bennett, Skylar Badger, Tyler Badger, Alexa Badger.
A private Funeral Service will be held at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Mt. Airy Road in Basking Ridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to The Missions of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 300 Union Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876
